Would CTC have been in place along this sub by 1950? If so, that is an element I'd like to incorporate onto my layout.

Would anyone have any pictures or description of the type of signals used?

No; APBS was in place at this time. Upper quadrant semaphores were in use.

I remember lower quadrant semaphores east of Lockwood in the 60's/70's, changing over to color lights in the mid-70's. The Lockwood station order board was always upper quadrant.

You have that backwards...upper quad APB signals and lower quad train order boards.

Karl is correct, we have had an operable upper quadrant Frisco semaphore at our museum at Carona and we currently have a lower quadrant Frisco train order signal in front of our Boston, MO depot. Pictures of both I believe are in photos posted by member Keith Robinson.

My bad; I got 'em mixed up.

ps: Tip o' the hat to Don if he's reading this. Still have fond memories of the 1522.
