Andrew was one of the early FMIG members and attended several of the first few conventions. He was retired in Norfolk from an important DoD job and was a fantastic painter of railroad scenes. His artwork graced the covers of quite a few RR magazines, especially MAINLINE MODELER. He and Bob were close.

I was doing a google on Andrew yesterday and discovered that he passed away in April at age 71.

    We'll miss him.

An art gallery in Colorado carries his paintings. Google it for examples.

That is a shame. He was very talented.

I recall meeting Andrew first at a FMIG meeting - Tulsa, or maybe Memphis or St Louis. He brought a painting he had just done of two Frisco Racehorse E8's with a passenger train - the Meteor, the TS, or the KCFS. "Wow!" was all I could say.
