Please see the following link for a trackside view of the Ames, OK depot.

The depot has been relocated off site into the county approximately 1 mile west of Ames. It is on the north side of Ames Road (a/k/a West Main Street in town) approximate 1500' east of N2690 Road. The depot is in the front yard of a private residence.

This is a former Blackwell Enid and Southwestern (BE&SW) Railroad depot. The BN&SW was acquired by the Frisco in 1907. Ames was a train order office on the Frisco's Enid Subdivision, mile post 606.7.

I suspect the depot was originally located just off Main Street. However, to date I have been unable to locate an original site address, orientation or other historical information on this structure.

Any help in obtaining photographs, measurements, field notes or other documentation and posting it to this site would be greatly appreciated.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks!
