Ada OK, another Louis Curtiss design

    Throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas and even New Mexico, Louis Curtiss left his architectural mark on depots and other buildings of the Frisco and Santa Fe.
    The Frisco depot at Ada OK is one that survives.

    Close resemblance to Valley Park, Mo depot!

    Madill OK had a Frisco depot of similar design.

    Curious to know what construction method was utilized to build these depots!

    A 1912 newspaper article about the construction of the Victoria TX depot of similar design indicates
    concrete construction. I'm guessing set forms were used to mold the designs into the concrete.

    From the National Archives. Looks like the depot originally was on the west side of the tracks.
