    After living here for 30 years, I decided today to visit the city-funded Frisco Heritage Museum.
    I was interested in all the local history exhibits but especially the railroad-related ones.
    I took a few photos!

    One more photo:
    [ Like so many local history museums, some of the railroad information was incorrect.]

    Which is very disconcerting considering the availability of this forum and it's wealth of information and experts.

    Yes, in one display the date of the last passenger train through Frisco TX was 1967; in another it was 1960.
    Oddly, the dining car display had no Frisco china or menus!

    Out in the foyer was this live steamer on display. Prototypical or not?

    Before the Memphis Road merger, the Frisco purchased several classes of Moguls from Rogers and Baldwin:
    300-303, nee 200-203, Rogers 1886, 55.5" drivers, 100,975lbs;
    304-316, nee 204-216, Baldwin 1886-1887, 55.5" drivers, 92,700lbs;
    317-336, nee 217-236, Baldwin 1888, 55.5' drivers, 97,000lbs;
    337-353, nee 237-253, Baldwin 1892, 55.5" drivers, 106,300 lbs; *

    *The diagram indicates that the 237-248 were formerly ATS&F locomotives, however none of my ATS&F rosters show a 1892, Baldwin-built, 2-6-0. After the merger, the Frisco acquired Moguls from other roads, e.g., FtW&RG, JLC&E. Most of the ante-merger locomotives disappeared during the mass extinctions of the 1912-1916 period. The model's boiler and driver spacing don't really match the locomotive diagrams.

    The Black Gold, trains 517 and 518, were discontinued "effective" January 19, 1960.
