A great 1903 map of the Bootheel

    Something is odd about this. It's dated 1903 but the Diversion Channel wasn't started until about 1915ish and finished around 1921 or so. Hmmmm

    Maybe the diversion channels were added onto the only, or last map, that was available? One can see the lines drawn for the legend lettering.

    That true but I thought the Frisco didn't buy Houck's railroads until the teens. I see you're point though. This could have been added to an older map. Good call.
