This is a bit slow in being posted. I have had a few issues, ie, heart attack, totaled my car, a birthday, you know, the usual!!
A good friend, Dave Dees, has died. His father was a signal maintainer for the Frisco. Dave and family lived in many Frisco places over the years, most notably Newburg. His uncle, a man named Roach,[ mothers brother] was a dispatcher in Springfield. If memory serves, his grandmother owned an eatery in Newburg.
Dave was 59 years young. We both graduated from South Tech, so a fellow classmate as well as a Frisco fan. Dave was a member of the Big Bend Model RR Club, and the St. Charles Model RR Club.
Just keep the Dees family in your thoughts. There were strange circumstances surrounding his death, so we are still very confused and saddened.
