BN 2600/ex SL-SF 660 Frisco GP38AC 660 suffered an accident at Denison TX on April 15, 1980, a few months before the Burlington Northern merger. When it was repaired, it was decided to turn it into a cabless booster, and assign it the BN number 2600. The low sun and the covered over windows and number boards give the unit a "ghostly" feel. Photographed at the Lindenwood Yard in October, 1985 by Rich Lawler. I hope Rich will forgive me for taking the liberty of doctoring the photo for better visibility (klrwhizkid).

BNSF 2120, ex BN 2120 and SL-SF 643, performs various chores around the Lindenwood Yard in Saint Louis. Notice that the unit is now remote control equipped. Photographs by Rich Lawler on May 19, 2007 (1), July 20, 2007 (2 & 3) and July 10, 2007 (4).

ran across this in a photo book and scanned it. it was dressed up for a shippers special back in the late 1980's
Interesting to see how BN just plated over the SLSF 644 nose gyralight housing. Wonder if they sent that part back to Utah Pacific! Ken
Seems like that "other-other" RR has trouble matching their ORANGE Paint as well as the Frisco Modelers do. It is a nice shot, anyway.
