4-8-2 SLSF 1503 was delivered from Baldwin in 1923.

Stainless steel running board skirts, a retractable coupler pilot and covered pilot deck added at the Springfield Shop in March 1937 made this oil burner a beauty.

This was the only 1500 class engine to receive skirts and semi-streamlined styling.

From Richard Crabtree on Frisco Rails Across Missouri.

Here is a beautiful Frisco locomotive.

Frisco 4-8-2 SLSF 1503 was built by Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1923.

In March of 1938 the boys at the Frisco West Shops in Springfield, Missouri brought SLSF 1503 in for a little streamlining to give her more appeal.

She received stainless steel running boards skirts, retractable coupler pilot and covered pilot deck.

She would retain this look for ten years.

In 1948 they removed all the added beauty and she was put into freights service.
