4-6-4 SLSF 1069 Starting in 1937 the Springfield, West Shop rebuilt ten 4-6-2s into 4-6-4 Hudson Types with 74 inch drivers. These engines were initially assigned trains No 105 and No 106, the Kansas City Florida Special, and overnight trains St. Louis, MO to Memphis, TN and Kansas City, MO to Tulsa, OK.
