Taken from the north side of the tracks at South Santa Fe Street.

The Bolshevik with, daily except Sunday, train No 449 is crossing the one of the Oklahoma Railway's freight-only routes. The Oklahoma Railway was a street and interurban, electric railroad that served the Oklahoma City area. The gate-protected crossing was located at MP G-540.1.

The local departed Frisco's East Yard in Oklahoma City around 7:00 and arrived at Lawton, OK during the early afternoon.

A more modern image from the same location.

Edit 3/10/2024: Photograph taken from the grade fill of the Atchison, Topeka nd Santa Fe (ATSF) north-south main line. Just to the photographer's left, the Santa Fe's tracks pass over the Frisco.

To the west is the Oklahoma City Union Station. Frisco's first crossing of the North Canadian River and its East Yard are in the distance east of this location. View looking northeast.

    Added photograph narrative.
