During the summer of 1976, the Frisco delivered the caboose SLSF 1148 to Weaubleau, MO. I do not know how the locals got the car off the track, but it was easy to see how they got it to the city park. They chained the trucks to prevent excessive swivel, and then used a farm tractor to drag it from the "railhead" to the park. The groves cut into the streets by the wheel flanges were very easy to follow. Close examination of the photograph will reveal the "rutted" street.
