Hello treefrog! I see I am not the only one who grew up in Grandview, Missouri. I lived out there in Belvidere Heights until I graduated high school in 1985. I bounce back and forth between Belton and Grandview and kansas City until 11 years ago. that's when I moved to Seymour. My family background is in Ava, and I used to spend the summers here. My parents moved to western Douglas county from Grandview 3 years ago after my father retired from Honeywell, which used to be Bendix, then Allied Signal before it became what is now Honeywell. You could say I grew up on the Hwy 7 and 13 route my whole life. I remember when the first piece of the Clinton Sub was abandoned between Blairstown and Osceola and the rest was abandoned as well. It was a shame to see it go.

Thank you for the welcome. I grew up in Grandview, Missouri between the Frisco and Kansas City Southern. That was how I learned to walk . Hear a whistle head that way to see the train. Hear a cargo airplane I got confused usually and fell down. Grand Parents lived in Clinton and used to be a trill to watch the train going or coming from ths chicken hatchery there with feathers flying out of baggage car right before caboose. Diesels were an older type trying to learn about and black with white stripes. I never knew Frisco had red units till went thru Springfield when older. Am also thinking about getting back into HO and can't do it without the Frisco.

Now this was probably answered wrong but that is my story, Thank you

      Rick
