Wow, Thanks Guys, I had not noticed this thread for some time it seems.

Chris, I apologize for not seeing your post for all this time. I will take and post some pics of the QA&P derrick and tender, sorry for not seeing the post sooner.

Hi Don, I am gratified you enjoyed the videos and pictures of the QA&P equipment. I appreciate your comments and input. Yes I did make the QA&P decals with my old cantankerous ALPS printer. However, Coonskin "Andre" is right about Oddballs decals. I am ashamed to say, that I defended "Tom Stolte" on this forum. I had visited with him several times (via phone) and although he was a bit cranky at times, he always helped me, went out of his way to do so a couple times. But I guess something happened in his world that resulted in a complete derailment of his operation if not faculties.

I would be glad to give anyone the graphics to make these decals, with no reservations. I cannot make these decals on a commercial basis, I can barely make any decals anymore without fighting with that ALPS printer for an hour for every print. How many decals are you wanting, if I may ask?
    Kindest Regards
    Tom Holley

Hello Mr. Holley, Thanks for replying to my response on your QA&P equipment decals and/or artwork, etc. I apologize for taking so long to respond. I don't want to be any burden to you to go out of your way to accommodate myself for any decals if it should put you in an awkward position. I was not aware Oddballs was not doing decals again. This seems to be a problem and am sorry if Mr. Stolte is having issues. Sad to hear. I would like to still get decals to do both GP7/9, SD40 in black and yellow for QA&P, decals and/or artwork, etc. to do modern boxcars for QA&P like what you have had posted in pictures along with whatever else that may be available. If you could, please e-mail me at www.modelrailroader.com for more contact info. Thank You! Don

Hello Mr. Holley, Thank You so much for contacting me. I have seen on you tube some of your videos on the QA&P. I first found out about the QA&P from a VHS tape I acquired sometime back from Steve Goen who does videos on various railroads in Texas. He also does books. This particular tape called Ship It On The Frisco has a little bit of the QA&P on it showing some action at Acme and the rails being removed I believe at Roaring Springs. It is by S G Productions. Other things have caught my eye as to wanting to model certain things such as QA&P rolling stock and diesels. It is hard to believe about Oddballs Decals not doing decals now as he had already got help before to keep things going. I wonder what happened? Anyway, seeing your models of modern boxcars, covered hoppers, SD40 and GP7/9 diesels( black w/ yellow lettering, etc.) online and you tube videos, how do I acquire or obtain the decals needed to do any of these? I don`t want to be greedy, just
enough to do 1 each of the boxcars, covered hopper, SD40 and GP7/9. I think it is neat that you follow in your grandfathers footsteps being a railroader. Him for QA&P and you for BNSF. How long have you been an engineer? Were you doing this before BNSF and with who? Santa Fe, BN, etc.? BNSF runs thru my home town here in Texas. It is Waxahachie. Another rail line runs thru here as well. UP runs thru here on the ex-SP line from Ft Worth to Ennis. BNSF comes from Dallas down the former MKT line and goes to Houston on the former Burlington, Rock Island line. I know you are busy running trains with BNSF so I will wait when you have time off to wait for your response. Tried to send e-mail to your e-mail address but got a message back stating it did not go thru or was not received. Something about the e-mail address not working. Anyway, my e-mail address is easy to send messages to. If you want, I can be reached at 223 Palomino Dr. Waxahachie, Tx 75165. I am in no hurry. Thank You! Don

Hello Mr Holley, To explain better on reaching me at www.modelrailroader.com, just open your e-mails you receive, then go where you can open up and compose a new message to enter the e-mail address you want to send. Type in your message, etc. and send it. That's really all there is to it. If you still have no luck at it, then send me a letter. I can then give you more options to contact me. Again, Thank You for your response. Don Hartis II

Steve and I have done some business in the past. I am waiting patiently for him to produce another Frisco/QA&P tape, that will include some footage my Grandfather took, and traded to Steve for him to consider for publication. It has been a few years and I want to see this stuff where the public can view it.

Hey Tom, How are you doing these days? I would suppose that you are still busy with your job with BNSF and your HO QA&P. I had just got on the website now to browse on things in general and just happened to go over the Caboose link and went over what I had posted and came across my conversation here. After I now have looked over the posting giving you the my email, I see I made a big mistake and error on my part on the info. I am truly sorry and apologize for it. It is even sadder that I have taken this long to go back and see it. The email is modelrailroader61@yahoo.com. I would still be interested in QA&P logos and lettering decals for freight cars and cabooses, etc. I am sure you still have issues dealing with the ALPS printer. If you have no decals, I will understand. Would like to just enjoy seeing more of what you have pics or videos, etc. Thanks! Don
