Fontana was another "wide spot" on the Frisco, which served a sole customer, who was located on a short team track. Practicing a bit of economy, the Frisco employed a section of "Poor Man's CTC". At "South Fonatana", the DS controlled access to/from the passing track via signal indication and a power switch. At "North Fontana a take-siding indicator and a spring switch performed the work.
Fontana is far enough off the beaten path that there isn't google street view there to look around with. So, I went and took a few pictures a while back.
