    Yes, Indeed!
Whenever I need something that I know I have, Where did I put it? I know I have it but where in hell is it?
I'll wake up in the middle of the night a week later, Oh yeah now I know where I put it! LOL!

BobT was kind enough to decal some cars, 2 grain cars and a boxcar for his Wichita & North Western. I sent him 3 similar QA&P cars. Here are his cars going over the hump in the main yard and getting assigned to their block of traffic.

Below they are assigned to their west bound train to be set out in Quanah, the grain cars will be spotted at the elevator/mill at the Hootch brewery, the boxcar will continue to its destination as well. The grain cars when MT will enter the grain car pool for service, as needed.

Many thanks to Bob for being willing to do some trading, I like doing this kind of stuff.

That's very nice and flows nicely with your theme's locale!

    Hey Bob...

Didn't you use Bill Brillinger to do your customs?

I'm using him for a batch of KC&G engine sets. Having the words spelled out is going to be SUCH a time saver! (One letter at a time sucks!)

Hey Tom, 1000% awesome. This really lifted my spirits after a bad day at work.

Great to see those in action on the QA&P. I am working on a few more boxcars this evening for the WNW project. Looking at the photo, I just realized I did not give the boxcar an ACI stencil.

Here are two of the cars from the interchange with the QA&P being handed off from the WNW to the ATSF at Larned KS (really just a diorama). Larned will be the theme for the WNW sectional layout (I'll post on a separate thread). I just got in a GP-15 that will become the WNW's first loco after some patching out and sound install. In the meantime, I am using this SD-40-2 from Athearn. Shout out to @klrwhizkid for sending me a programming file for the decoder.

@Coonskin , these decals are home designed (with Inkscape) and printed on decal paper in a laser printer. I think this works OK with black lettering such as for these gray (off-white) hoppers. I do use Bill Brillinger's Precision Design Co. for most projects. I'll be sending him a draft design for some oxide red WNW boxcars. I had to do some yellow ones, as the long-gone prototype WNW had their Mather boxcars painted a chrome yellow at one time.

    Take Care All,

    -Bob T.

The image of my Grandpa Cooper was copied from a old super 8 MM film, so it is not very good, but its what I have.

gjslsffan and rjthomas909, do pairs of the cars you have traded with each other have the same numbers? If so, this raises the possibility of spotting an empty at one of your layouts for loading and somewhat later having it spotted for unloading on the other layout. This will give the appearance the car has completed an imaginary trip to deliver its load.

Hey @WindsorSpring, I think that I sent Tom unique car numbers, but I could certainly do that. Since I print my own decals for the yellow and gray cars, I can change the numbers on each set.

As many of you know. There is a contract switching outfit to the MRR known as the Hindsight Industrial Rail System (HIRX).
Well they acquired a 5ft section of RR and are now a RR so the "X" has to be dropped. SO now re-stenciling of the rolling stock is underway.
I was gonna just patch out the X put is was actually easier to patch out the RX, so now the reporting marks are HI.
I got the name as a result of a industrial area here in Grand Junction known as "Foresight Industrial Park", so naturally I had to do the Hindsight thing.
Here are a few examples of the re-stenciling efforts, I dont even know how many cars will need the treatment.

Let know if we would like to get a matching couple of W&NW cars....I have been weathering the fleet and have a few additional cars in. I'll offer up a match or two as you like.

    Bob,

    Nice job on the weathering.

Especially enjoy the door streaks and roof work on WNW 5224.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks!

I got another couple mechanical reefers done for the QA&P. These are just old Athearn BB cars with, old DW cushion ends along with some very basic brake rigging added, and decals I made up. Still need to install the Plano cut bars, I add those last as they are so easily mangled.
There are 0ver 65 different decals on each car, kinda graphic heavy, and is modeled after BN's Temp-Lok car. I have six of these in service now.

Tom, those are fantastic! Could you share with me which cut levers you typically purchase from Plano?
