As one examines the railfan literature, which discusses the streamlined, 1015-Class engines and the Firefly (train), one will note discrepancies with regard to dates and sequences of events. During the past couple of months, I have looked elsewhere with the hope to “figure-out things”. Attached is my first draft of my research, and I believe that it sets the narrative straight, and it even has a new wrinkle.

Give it a look, and let me know what you think.

Thanks for some additional Pullman info from Bill Pollard.

  2. Impressive work Karl. I can’t begin to contribute anything to yours but appreciate you sharing it. Interesting even to a non steam person. Thanks

During 1938, the Frisco streamlined the 1026 for The Black Gold.

Wow, you went deep on that and answered a couple of questions I'd always wondered about.
