I did not like the high headlight.

When we were active with 4-8-2 SLSF 1522, I took one of our guys and went down to 2-10-0 SLSF 1621 at the Museum and moved the headlight down.

I should have moved it down another 6", but just utilized old holes in the smokebox front.

    Looks better now.

The December 7, 2021 TRAINS e-mail newsletter has a link to a first person account by Production Editor Angela Pusztai-Pasternak about a cab ride in SLSF 1630.

It covers impressions of the ride along with the subject of how a steam locomotive can be like a woman.

The 1630 is featured in this video from Memorial Day weekend 2022 at the Illinois Railway Museum.
