Does anyone know what interchanges the Frisco made with other companies in the Birmingham area in the 40s and 50s? If I had to guess, I assume they would probably have junctions with most of the railroads coming from the east, like the Southern, Seaboard, ACL, and Central of Georgia.
FMIG Newsletter #26 includes the Frisco portion of the 1940 Official Railway Equipment Register, listing the following interchange roads in Birmingham: Atlanta, Birmingham & Coast Birmingham Belt Birmingham Southern Central of Georgia Illinois Central Louisville & Nashville Mobile & Ohio Seaboard Air Line Southern Warrior River Terminal* *The interchange location is listed as Ensley, AL just west of East Thomas Yard. Best Regards,
