From Richard Crabtree on Frisco Rails Across Missouri:
Here we are at the Frisco Depot at Crystal City Missouri. Crystal City was originally called New Detroit. A post office called Crystal City has been in operation since 1872. In the 1860s, Pittsburgh Plate Glass Company opened a glass manufacturing plant, which is the origin of the city's name. The Frisco Lines first ran here in 1904. In 1926 the Frisco replaced the depot with his beautiful brick depot.
