    Folks-
Anyone else joining in the “Hindsight 20/20 Meet” today being put on via Speedwitch Media?

If so, say “hey” through the Zoom chat. I’ll be logged in as Christopher Abernathy.

Beautiful morning for an bike ride between McBaine and Rocheport on the Katy Trail...and then a full work day of models. Should be a fun day here.

    Best Regards,

Didn't know there was a "Hindsight 20/20" virtual meet.

Google searches have yielded everything but info about a virtual meet.

    Got a link?

    Andre,
    Try http://speedwitchmedia.com/

The trouble began at 11:00am CDT. Not sure if they're still taking registrations or not.

    Best Regards,

Any day is a great day for a ride on the Katy Trail... After last year’s flooding, the DNR has done a great job getting things put back together. The only gap is the washout at Salt Creek, which is just west of Rocheport. A pic from last year’s ride.

    Karl:

Yikes! That's some serious destruction! Where might this Katy Trail be?

    Edit:

Thanks Chris for the link. I didn't attempt registration. Decided I'm having too much fun off/on out in my train room. Still have some through trains to run, and some with helpers. Busy man, I am! :ROFLMAO:

The Katy Trail is the former MKT right-of-way from Machens, west of St Louis, across Missouri, heading to Parsons, Kansas.
I've only traveled the trail from St Louis to Jeff City (North Jefferson City actually) so I don''t know how far it is finished.
Quite a nice asset for the state of Missouri, quite popular. I think Karl has probably traveled every inch! Beautiful in the fall when the leaves turn, and close to many of the wineries!

    Thanks Ken.

St. Louis to Parsons, KS??? THAT'S quite the "trail".

I'll bet I would NOT be welcomed to ride that aboard my dual sport motorcycle!! :ROFLMAO:

I have ridden the Katy Trail from end to end annually for the past ten years. The state of Missouri has begun adding the CRIP’s KC-STL line to the mix and we have added it to our ride. We also ride up the Columbia Br and overnight at the Tiger Hotel. Attached is my heat map. 2AACBBD6-3C2A-4A8A-8305-C75599CC64D2.jpeg

Salt Creek looks about the same, Karl.

There are a few fresh washed out spots this side of MP 181, probably from the deluge that was TD Christobal.

Also discovered on Saturday: the acoustics of the Rocheport tunnel are splendid for a capella and harmonica. A group of Mennonites paused to sing and play. Not sure if the videos will upload.

Karl, holler if you guys ride this year. It’s been a minute since we saw you at Franklin. Merriwether Cafe is open, as is The Station House in Huntsdale. I’m about a 15 minute drive or 45 minute bike ride from the latter. 52C5EBC4-6A31-400A-BEC5-AAB814789C33.jpeg E3BEA03D-2306-413D-8543-DF0C4DA06BE0.jpeg 373A7280-82FE-42AA-B64C-347387AAA612.jpeg

    Oh, and back on thread...

The virtual RPM was fantastic. This might be the boost I needed to get back into the grove. If you’re not familiar with George Toman’s modeling skills, his session alone would have been worth it.

It sounds as if the hosts are going to try to reprise the meet, albeit maybe shorter evening sessions running a couple of evenings in a row. Admittedly, I had to haul to get 20 miles in on the trail and make it home in time, and then quickly do flower and garden watering during breaks.

At any rate, I will strive to let folks know when the next one rolls around.

    Back off thread...
Katy Trail is on my bucket list. I looked into a ride a couple of years ago, but it fell through.

I rode on two rail trails here on Saturday, the Luce Line and the Dakota Rail trail:
