    Day 16.

No major issues with Cynthia, she is awake and responding.

    Praise God and Jesus!!!

Cynthia broke free of the restraints and pulled the ventilator out, they have a oxygen mask on and she is breathing on her own with no problems. She is tough and decided she had enough of the ventilator. Haha
This is a major hurdle in her recovery and everything should be better from here on out.

That's very great news, Joe! Hopefully it will be only a short time and she'll get to go home.

I guess she had enough of that ventilator. That is good news Joe, she is a strong willed person for sure.

    Day 17.

Sorry to say but Cynthia had to have the ventilator put back in at 3:30am. Her blood gas is bad so they had no other choice. They may have to give her a tracheotomy sometime in the near future. At least she was free for eight hours.

Thank you guys for your thoughts and prayers. I know she will pull though this, it's just a matter of time. It won't be long before she will be kicking my butt.

    Day 18,

No change in Cynthia's condition, they have her pain meds turned up so she will be asleep for awhile.

    Day 19,

Cynthia is awake and responding, they are starting to wean her off of the pain meds so they can remove the ventilator sometime soon. The last time they tried it didn't work very well because her blood gas was bad so they may have to give her a tracheotomy. At least she was free of the ventilator for eight hours and I could talk to her and she could whisper back. I know it will get better soon just a matter of time.

Was going to work on the Ft Smith Depot project but I left the blueprint at home this morning. Will pick it up when I go home to feed the dogs and myself later this afternoon.

    Day 20,
Thank you for your thoughts and prayers, can't say it enough!!!

Cynthia is awake and responding, they have the Fentanyl set at 5ml in preparation for removing the ventilator tomorrow. It looks like she will have a tracheotomy if her blood gas isn't right.

I'm doing okay on this New Years Eve other than I had a flat tire on the way to the hospital. What a way to end the year. Haha.

Steve, watch out it may be contagious. LOL

Got to laugh, it takes less mussels to smile than frown. Roadside assistance took care of it, only had to wait 25 minutes.
