I have someone asking me about the color that Frisco painted their steel cabooses. My modeling period is 1943 and the color I paint my wood cabooses is Duplicolor red primer in a rattle can. Dead ringer for the old caboose and box car color Any suggestions on the darker color of the later cabooses?
The wood one I recently painted I used the Krylon red primer. So essentially the same as you Don. Mine looked like a pretty good match to the 1963 pic I used. Are you looking for the brown like on the wide vision caboose at one point?
