Thanks, gentlemen. I’m getting my mojo back and I’m ready to do some more layout projects. Thanks for checking in to such an ancient thread.

Great stuff Jim. Perhaps my favorite thread on the Frisco dot org.

These photos, appearing on the Olathe, KS Facebook page, somehow screamed Zalma Branch:

    Looking forward to more!

Oh hell yes! Stacks of ties, raw ties used on the right of way, simple wood buildings and horse drawn wagons, weeds and dirt. Looks like my layout almost. Be still my heart.

  6. Those could be Jim’s photos just in black and white for sure !!!

Jim, download those to your computer and update those old posts with the images.

BTW, I recognize that hilltop where the cemetery is located.

Nice work as usual on all your details...

Here's one of my favorite photos from Jim's layout that I took back in 2011. It shows the incredible sense of depth Jim created when he painted the backdrop for Greenbrier. You can't tell where the layout ends and the image on the backdrop takes over. IMGP9462.jpg

Thanks. It certainly looks better in Keith’s photos!

  12. Great shots. Further proof a layout doesn’t have to fill a basement to look great.

Very nice, they do kinda shake you a little. Not a Steam guy, but stuff like this might change me.

Just a quick video. I moved the old barn to the other end of Greenbrier.

  15. Great stuff Jim. You set perfect rural scenes. I love the house with the collapsing roof in the background too.

Excellent work, Jim! Your coloration looks very natural. Good job on all of the scene.

14062140-93E4-4C40-B60C-C69D2D1D7EC9.jpeg Thanks folks! The only thing remaining is the water pump seen at the end of the video.
I took this photo just today on my way to Puxico.

Thanks. I’m ashamed I let it go dormant for a while but I’m back into it again. Everyone here posts inspirational progress photos and it jolted me out of my funk.
