I have a set of the SL-SF FFF tender decals from Oddball Decals (ordered long ago and still good) and I would like to know what engines would be appropriate for these.

As I recall, Oddball did two different sets of the tender "FFF" decal. The first one had some errors in color. You should check to see which set you have.

The "FFF" logo was used on some of the 4500 class Northern freight locomotives.

Thanks. I actually have both sets. Which one is the error?

I wasn't aware there was a color issue? What was it?

I was never aware of any color issues with the Oddballs FFF 4500 decals either. He did run two different styles of this set could this be what you are referring too? One style had all the lettering in red which was the as delivered version, the second had the lettering on the outer circle in black which the railroad switched to as the engines were repainted because the original red did not show up as well over time.

I think Brad has described the matter of two different Oddball decal sets for the 4500 freight tender "FFF" correctly. I recall when Oddballs introduced the second set not too long after the first. Tom said something about a color change on the second set, which I interpreted as an error fix. Sorry about the confusion.

I had one set of each. Don't know if I still have them or not. There were two different listings in his catalog.
