    William,
I am thinking a Bar/Restaurant on top with some steps down to a small doc and a couple small boats tied up. Also an S curved type road from the parking lot on top, down to the layout height.

I think the height here is too high, lowering it would make it easier to scenic. Steps down to a lower parking area, a pier out over the water, use steel or pole piling to shore up building at waters edge.

  3. I think sea food restaurant with a bar Bill. I like Toms idea for the pilings in the water. Some crustations around them at a couple water marks. Bar and bait shop maybe?
Or roadhouse muddy boot type bar over a small cliff. All pickups in the parking lot. There is a place not to far from me, on flat land though, that just says “BAR” in big red letters on the end. It’s a dump but it has some character.

You guy's are the best, I'm going to lower the scene, build a lower parking area with a "S" road. With parking out of the way I will use the building in the photo's and have another that is a cafe. I like the sea food thought. The yellow building came with piers, so that thought is one I will use. I have a floating bait dock that will work in. All this will take more time, but the result will be much better. Thanks to all that replied.

  7. Some stuff getting finished up here. It didn't rain so I took some out door shots.

You can get someone else to ride that death trap caboose. Noooo ! Not me ! The Stove don't work, so it's out. No seat and light for the conductor, extra 25 miles. No luggage rack, 25 miles, man that thing is getting me rich !

  10. Thanks Tom. All of is headed to other people but I enjoy painting so it’s ok.

    Bill you crack me up!

Aww, STEVE -- You promised that you would not tell!

That weathering on #214 is so cool - looks real!

  14. Thanks Sherrel. Greg likes it btw.

Funny, 214 has been here a while, don’t tell my dad but the weathering started pretty crappy so I started over. I liked the second go round much better.

  15. This week I finally got the wheel truck finished up and took some outdoor pictures. Enjoy, Steve

Steve - Terrific. Even under magnification the truck and its details look very real. Well done!

Yeah... what Ken said! Excellent work that even stands up to magnification! (NOT easy to do with models.)

EDIT: By the way, if that doesn't win at the contest... the judges are brain dead.

  18. Thanks guys I really appreciate it. It makes it more fun building these things knowing you guys enjoy it. Time to start another right?
