    Elvin Y. Coiner, 1882-1954
He worked for the Frisco from 1917 on, mainly in Miami, Oklahoma, Fort Scott, Kansas, and Baxter Springs, Kansas.
This watch is a Burlington, probably made about 1920. They were sold directly to workers through company magazines.
As required by the Timekeeping Service, there is a small lever under the crystal that must be pulled out to out in into “Time Set” mode.
The back is worn, but in the right light you can just see an engraved engine and tracks.

Miami. I grew up in Tulsa but have lived here since 1984. My father and uncle also worked for years in Tulsa, Joplin, Springfield, St. Louis, and Little Rock.

Hank, I've been in the Tulsa area since 1967 except for two and half years in Lancaster CA from 1983 to 1985. My wife, of 36 years, and I have been in Broken Arrow since 2014.

In what part of Tulsa did you grow up?

We moved to Tulsa in 1962 and lived until about 1974 in the Nathan Hale district, then moved to Maple Ridge.
We have a variety of Frisco memorabilia and some early 1960s pictures.

Hank, we must have lived in the same area, I lived near 31st and Memorial and went to Hale my sophomore year 1972. My mom, dad and I moved that summer to Collinsville.

Through some freak of life I still have my 1972 yearbook. We were both sophomores.

Were we in the same class at Hale Hank? I went to Whitney Jr. High in 68 thru 71. Noticed that your profile information says you were born in 1980, is that wrong?

Please post the Frisco photos, we would like to see them and you might even want to submit them to the Frisco Archives. They could always use more photos. Who knows you may have some that are rare and real treasures.

I always give a false Birthday on line. Yes, we were in the same grade that year. Hank Coiner
