HO scale freight trucks

    Very interesting, Tom about the guard rail. I suppose you cut a strip or have some strip plastic and glued it on the inside of the guard rail. Do you know how much is allowable for the gap? I like this thread.

    Yea Bill all I did was buy .015 x .060 Evergreen styrene strips cut them to the length of the guard rails and glue with regular solvent type glue and paint them with rust colored paint. It was easy and quick! Being as peco is made in reality for OO, I read somewhere this was needed to make the switches work with semi scale wheels.

    Great tip Tom, I will be checking my guard rails for sure. I have a tendency to think everything is good out of the box. But as I check, I am finding not so. I have adjusted a bunch of trip pins, and loosened some center plate screws. It's helping a lot.
