Been talking with PSC and they are warming up to the idea of a run of 1500s, all three versions plus the 1503 with skirts. Also talking about 4100s, all versions. What kind of serious interest would there be in these? They would be a Boo Rim built model, just like the 4500s and Hudsons. If there is a lot of interest, it could happen.
I would expect so. He is talking about doing 1500s, all three series plus maybe the 1503 with skirts. He wants to do a couple of variations of each class. Main driver, lettering, smokebox front, pilot and other minor changes.
Here's a cry from the wilderness: The modeling minority that doesn't actually matter (To the manufacturers & modeling press etc. etc.). I for one would be interested in an N SCALE semi-streamlined 1503. 'Course that's really just like peeing in a tornado, but I thought I'd just run it by here just for laffs... Tom G.
Don and Tom, I would like a N scale 4100 series brass locomotive for my layout. Currently I have a 4-8-2 Mountain #1512 and two 2-8-0 Consolidations #1332 and #1340, all manufactured by Bachmann. Even though Mountains were not seen much on the Central Division I would have to go to Rule #1 to run it. I love that rule. A layout is a lot more fun because of it! What would be the approximate cost of the brass locomotive? Joe
Ok guys, I'm just the messager so I don't want to hear any griping about price or scale. But on yesterday's addition of Monday Morning Express by Brass Trains they interviewed Mark Moggeson of PSC and he announced they are opening reservations for a possible run of the 1500 class. Best part of it all is that he gave a shout out to our very own and deserving Don Wirth! Brad Slone
Thanks Brad. I wish I could say I needed one. But is is really cool that he gave a shout out to Don Wirth for sure.
