I'm the grandson of a Frisco welder/steam fitter. My other grandpa retired from the ash grove lime plant in Galloway.

Yes the West shops. He was hired in I think 1934 and retired in 64 . I'd have to look up his card to be sure.
Funny you mentioned Frisco knowledge. I thought I knew some, but it is amazing how much knowledge is locked up inside these electronic walls. I know that part of town very well. I grew up about 1/2 north of Glendale High School off of Ingram Mill. My bike rides were to the Brentwood Library, or just down to the tracks in Southern Hills. I saw plenty of coal drags (in the BN era) on the Ozark Branch, but not much else. Paul

I'm a little younger than you are. Glendale Class of 1994. My brother Pete graduated from Glendale in 1986, so you overlapped with him at least a couple of years. Glendale Baptist Church is actually right across Ingram Mill from Cambridge Terrace, which is the neighborhood I grew up in. My parents still live there. Paul
