I am "A Frisco man". If you live in Springfield, MO you know what that means. I worked as a machinist in the Frisco Diesel Shop in Springfield 13 years. Became a supervisor, transferred to Minneapolis. Became an assistant general foreman, general foreman. Transferred to the BN Technical Training Center in Overland Park, KS (Kansas City) as assistant manager of technical training (locomotives). Moved to the BNSF Argentine locomotive shop in Kansas City, KS. Retired as manager of the BNSF Kansas City Locomotive Reliability Center.
I've worked on the railroad ALL the live long day and most of my life. And I liked most of it, some not so much.
Retirement works for me. Now I fish, hunt, smoke killer BBQ, judge BBQ contests, and anything else I can get into that's fun. I have a little train set I play with.

Welcome aboard. You sound like a very good candidate for "BBQ Coordinator" for the next Frisco convention!

    Best Regards,

Were you part of the crew in 1988 when two of us from the 1522 engine crew were at O Park for training? Brian Hekkila was one of our main instructors. I think he went to Montana Rail Link, and last I heard has moved on from there.
Enjoyed the time there taking the ABTH course and test.
