    John,

Nice photo of the Neosho, MO depot.

I think that my grandmother, Francis Morrison Barstow was the depot station agent here in the early 1920s. I have a photograph of her standing by a boxcar that my dad, now deceased, always said was the Neosho depot. Have no way of checking veracity of this.

Is there a list of employees?

    Thanks,

    Hal Barstow

Neosho, only eight miles from Granby where my mother's family lived, was always a special place for me.

I spent many summers as a child playing "Tom Sawyer" while my Dad, Mom, brother and sister remained in Columbus, Georgia while Dad was at Fort Benning. Southwest Missouri has been my destination of choice for vacations.

I have many color slides of Frisco operations in the area. One of the most interesting is that of a peddler freight dropping off a boxcar at the Neosho, MO depot. What made it interesting was that it had six 900 series SD45s as motive power.

I am looking for a good scanner printer that will scan color slides. When I obtain it, will begin scanning my slides and posting them on the site for everyone's use.

    Hey Granby,

Unless you are really wanting to get a scanner, you might have a look at an OPTEKA "Digital Duplicator."

It is a slide copying lens for a digital camera. Lots cheaper and you do not have to worry whether a newer scanner will work with an older personal computer (PC).

We got ours to fit a Canon PowerShot A570 camera body on Amazon. Works okay even at night inside.

Probably will work even better against a daytime sky outdoors or toward a window.

    Tom,

    Thanks for the suggestion.

I am NOT really interested in a scanner for the very reason you stated. I do have a new Kodak digital camera that I am just learning to use. I will follow up on your suggestion.

    Again, Frisco Folks come through.
