Recently I got a Sperry Car and am begining to install a Loksound decoder in it, quite simply because they offer close to the proper sound. As I really do not do too much of this kind of stuff, I had a couple of questions after looking at the wiring. Not sure I understand the color change on the front and rear pickups.
Its Red on the end of one Truck and Black on the other end. The two sticking up went to the light.
Why the color change? Or can someone let me know which ones go togather. I am pretty sure I can put the decoder in, but the wiring on the car has me a little stumbled.

Bill, if you have a multimeter, you can verify what color wire connects to the wheels on each truck. I can't tell from the pictures, but I suppose that the base unit of both trucks is the same and they were wired oriented in the same direction; hence red would be on opposite sides when mounted in the frame.

Ok, I have a meter and will do a little checking. Thanks, that will help, the Sperry Car dosen't come with any instructions.
I have found a couple of items on the internet, so I will get it. I didn't think about using the meter for that, must be I don't do too much of this kinda stuff. I probably better get use to it, though, I picked up lighting for my buildings.
