I'm looking into picking up one of the Overland brass frisco wide vision cabooses but before I shell out that kind of cash I have a question for you. From the photos everything looks to be correct but I'll admit I didn't spend a ton of time researching it. Is there any glaring details that are wrong? Thanks in advance.

It depends upon the production run. The early runs were prototypically correct in regards to the windows on the roof, etc. but at that time brass didn't have see-thru roofwalks and therefore looked somewhat heavy compared to the later run. These were all unpainted from the factory and at the time retailed for around $50.00.

The second run was more detailed with see-thru roofwalks and end platforms and were beautiful in all regards. They were offered factory painted in two road numbers in red (1216 & 1256), two in orange & white (1260 & 1270), and one in red.white, and blue (1250). They retailed for $250 at the time.

    Hope this helps,

That's one from the early run that I mentioned in my earlier post that had an MSRP of around $50.00. Note the heavy handrails that were common at that time on the brass market. There is nothing wrong with that as when painted you will have a beautiful model.

From your previous description I gathered that it was from the first run. Thank you for your help.
