I just received an undecorated Broadway Limited NW2. Runs and sounds great, now thinking to paint it black and yellow of course. I plan on numbering it SLSF 258 which is the railroad gothic style lettering! Did all NW2 have re-rail frogs on them? I notice on some photographs they were not there. What detail part would be applicable?
I have a slide of SLSF 258 taken near the St. Louis Union Station and it is in its Gothic scheme. It does indeed have a rerailer in this shot. It is located on the fireman's side, hanging off the frame above the truck below the cab. Tony
Details West re-rail frog with brackets, 2 per package, Walthers part #235-293. http://www.walthers.com/exec/productinfo/235-293. No photograph on the Walthers web site but I have a package of them sitting here and it is the correct type. Ray
Yes. A pair of rerailing frogs is required. Some types have two identical frogs, others have an inside and an outside frog.
The thread submitted by Friscotony, the rerailer is located above the truck on the fireman side of cab. Would the other be located on the opposite side below the cab or opposite front side above the truck?
