This elevator was built in 1940, owned by Consolidated Flour Mills of Newton. It was later acquired by Western Grain and in 1999 was sold to Walton COOP. I can remember back in the 80's-90's the BN yard job would switch them several times during the week. Western was a regular shipper but all rail shipping ended when COOP took over. This facility would make a nice addition to a layout.
