You know who you are...if you don't mind, come out of the roundhouse!

In a PM, I was asked about members in Tulsa and I didn't know any but me. That can't be right!

Glenn, use the pull-down menu under Community for a member search mode. You may search for each of the 1600+ frisco.org members by state, city, scale, interest, etc.

I'm in Lamar (40 miles north of Joplin) so I wouldn't be considered Tulsa area, but you can normally find me at the Pittsburg and Joplin train shows, and if I'm lucky Springfield.

    Hi,

Thanks guys for answering Glenn's post!

I sent Glenn the PM asking about Tulsa members. Was wandering about any orginations in the area that were strictly Frisco. Glenn mentioned local NMRA with members with Frisco layouts and I know there were a couple besides myself in the NEONS. If anyone else has more information please let me know.

  7. I'm just across the Arkansas border in Van Buren. It would be cool to have a local Frisco club.:)

Jim Senese (KCTRWY) is part of this website and has the 19th St Yard on his layout. He lives in Claremore. He is a cool dude.

Oh yes, I forgot to mention that the Claremore & Southern Model RR is an HO scale layout loosely based on the Frisco's Cherokee Sub to Afton, and yes, even has a Frisco GP7 serving as a yard trimmer engine in their yard. It's up in Claremore, not far from the REAL former Cherokee Sub.

I'm not on their board, but I'm somewhat of a member. They run every second Saturday afternoon, and visitors are welcome.

"OPS session this Saturday at 1 PM C&S is the place to be. Everyone is invited to attend this session. All trains need to be run."

The Tulsa operators have a yahoo group for session notices. They are running Saturday. I've been there several times over the last 18 years or so; bout due for another visit, better check the weather forecast. Or I can stay home and get Zone 500 of Fort Smith wired up. I need to get a bunch of boxcars renumbered so Whirlpool can get into business.

Forecast is for a chance of rain, but hey, what's a few sprinkles? ;)

Speaking of wiring, I need to get Betner Yard wired up on MY layout, but I can do that Saturday nite.

I'm in Catoosa, MP 409 on the Cherokee Sub, I live on Frisco street named for the RR across the street with 40 trains a day. Just finished painting the caboose at our local museum in Frisco red.(See the photos under the thread Frisco Caboose 1882 in Cabooses General) I belong to the C&S but will be in KC this weekend for a train show, I usually run Claremore yard. Work nights are Tue. and Fri. with OP sessions every 2nd Sat. of the month. We can handle about 25 operators, it takes that many to run all the trains. (speaking of which, there goes an eastbounder) Y'all come. Marc
