Hello, I was born and raised in Spfd Mo. I've lived here 58 yrs. I've always been fascinated with trains ever since I was a child. I got my first lionel train at the age of 7 and took my first train ride on a Frisco passenger train named the "Sunnyland Express" when I was 9 yrs. old. I rode it from Springfield to Memphis to see my grandmother. I remember standing next to the tracks when the big engine would roll up to the depot. I would get goose bumps from the rumble of the train. I'm now a father of two and a grandfather of two. I've had model trains from N to G scale. I now have an O scale layout I built for my grandsons HA! Of course I have a Frisco line on it. I'm into Frisco, Burlington Northern, Santa Fe and BNSF. But Frisco will always be my favorite since I grew up with it. I plan on visiting the musem in the near future. I'm sure it will bring back alot of old memories.

Welcome aboard! I am a transplanted Springfield boy! I was born there in '53, so we are close in age. My father and brother had a Lionel empire in our basement on Fremont. I remember a hobby shop in a guys basement up the street. All that went away in '57 when we moved to St. Louis. This is a great board with a great bunch of folks all with the same love- FRISCO!!
