      According to Marre and Harper's book Frisco Diesel Power , 506 was sold for scrap to Precision National on Oct. 10, 1974. 651 was also sold for scrap at the same time.

      The fire burned for two days before the brakeman that died was found. DOT report said a car of Butane or some other highly flamable material ignited and then the jet fuel cars followed.
