Good catch, Gordon! Wondering if Ken Wulfurt and/or Don Wirth could "chime" in with specifics, being more familiary with SLUS? I figure this much: 1. This looks to be morning based on the shadows and photographer's position (looks to be on the east side of Tower 1). And, with the Redbird facing east, my guess is that it's an early morning arrival, with the train getting ready to back across the crossing and into the train shed. 2. The paint scheme (gold whiskers with white outline) would place this, I reckon, as early to mid 1950s? 3. Can't tell the consist, but it looks like the last car might have topside ducts? I would guess that it might be the arriving "Memphian" overnight on the River Division, but I'd be really surprised if it were running in more than one section in the early 50s. Any other guesses?
