    June 1996, the 20th Anniversary Issue

    This was the last of the paper info exchanges. It took me a year to put together. It was the busiest year of my 42-year career.

    This scan/post project has taken four months. Approximately 2,000 pages are now available here on frisco.org for posterity, or at least as long as Mike gets donations to keep the web site up and running.

    * Table of Contents
    * Information taken from many e mails regarding: MRP, other layouts, layout lighting, mandarine orange paint sources, Atlanta '95 NMRA National follow up, ballast, double decking, track centers, brass models, HO Atlas wide-vision cabooses, Frisco In Color book
    * Career profile and 3 July 1995 interview of Richard C. Grayson
    * Frisco diagrams from the Oddballs Decals catalog
    * HO Bachmann SD-45

    Doug - Thanks again for taking the time to scan and post your FMIG publications. Even for those who have the paper copy originals, the electronic files are very valuable. In particular, the color pics!

    I'll admit there was some sentiment involved in the process. They are hard to read all these years later.

    For that reason, I'd like someone else to volunteer to index the set. It won't be easy.

    I took pride in the information-to-page ratio being so high.

    Doug-

    Thanks so much for scanning and uploading the old FMIG newsletters. I had collected a few back in the '80's from Glenn Young and Bob Wintle, if I remember correctly. Having taken our model railroad club's newsletter into the Mac age in the late-1980's, I can appreciate the work involved. In fact, I am now inspired scan our old club newsletters and post them on the club's Yahoo group site.

    I need to re-download the newsletters, but so far have been unable to download any of the pdfs using IE, Chrome or Firefox. Is there a broken link somewhere or is the problem on my end?

    In going back through this thread, I noticed that the FMIG Lines newsletters between 46 and 101 are missing. Did they exist and could they be scanned/posted?

    This is the last posting that I have been able to see. Is this correct, or have there been other posts since this one by Keith 2 days ago?

    Keith, I hadn't seen the Frisco nation go silent this long, so I began to wonder if my computer was at fault. I am glad to know it is not the computer. On a related note, has anyone heard from Manny lately? I haven't noticed his name in a while. Hopefully everything is ok with him.
