If I remember correctly they are in the lists of stations books. Some of them are available online here.
Are you after the TPR codes, which are listed in the ETT’s post 1971 or the telegraphic call letters? Two different animals. http://www.frisco.org/shipit/index.php?threads/form-710-tpr-train-performance-reporting.8326/
Glenn, The telegraphic call letters are listed in the (Employee Timetables (ETT). Also in the Frisco List of Stations publications many of which are posted here. http://www.frisco.org/shipit/index.php?forums/frisco-list-of-stations.346/
Karl, Aren't the station numbers the stations' telegraphic call letters, just not identified as such? They are unique to each station.
Attached is my 1926 List of Stations and a 1971 System Number ETT. 1. All stations have a station number, which is not the telegraphic call symbol. The 1926 Station list and the 1971 ETT have the same station numbers. 2. Not all stations had a telegraphic call. See the 1926 Station List. 3. With the addition of new computer systems, which were used for dispatching, tracking shipments, etc., the Frisco initiated its TPR System which gave each station a TPR code for use in the system. The TPR codes are listed in the '71 ETT. This link shows how new codes were used for train identification - http://www.frisco.org/shipit/index.php?threads/form-710-tpr-train-performance-reporting.8326/
The 1971 Station Numbers are not unique. In System ETT #1, the Station number for Sheffield (Clinton Sub), KC 19th St Yard, KC 29th Street, and Rosedale is C004; each has a different TPR code.
In 1962, when the dispatcher wrote on his sheet "NB" to refer to Newburg, was he using the TPR code or the telegraphic code? Glenn
