About four decades ago, I queried the Frisco Modelers' Information Group (FMIG) membership to send me a list of all their Frisco locomotive models. It was interesting, even back then, just how many there were. Hundreds. I built a (long-lost) spread sheet. The most-modeled engine was SW-7 number 304 due to the Athearn HO model.

    Let's do it again!

I'll start with the attached Excel file. If you wish to "play", just download the spread sheet, add your Frisco motive power models, sort on road number, add 1 to the V (version) number, and repost here. If you are not spread-sheet savvy, have your child or grandchild help you.

The real Frisco probably never had as many locomotives/motor cars as we do.

Patrick, just send me the info for your four Frisco engines - road number, scale, wheel arrangement, model manufacturer, factory painted or not, colors, comments, etc. and I'll add them for you. Not interested in the other roads for a Frisco model roster. Thanks, Doug

All my custom Frisco engines have been gone for over two decades. Stupid, yes, but it was the thing that needed to be done at the time. (Raising front money to purchase a home. The same home I'm sitting in now that has been paid off for years.) SO, all I have is a handful of factory painted equipment. I can list those quickly and in short order right here:

    VO1000 #214 (Stewart)
    VO1000 #224 "
    SW7 #301 BLI
    SW7 #303 "

    That's it!

Over a year or so ago, I was offered three of my original Front Range GP7s in black and yellow by a fellow forumite and I jumped on it. Unfortunately said forumite seems to have sailed off into the sunset and I can no longer get responses when I attempt to contact.

So, for now the above engines be it. I have some Frisco planned for the future, but work on them is not to commence at this time.

Andre, I thought you were in S scale for some reason. I'll add your four diesels to the Excel file. I'm guessing the two VO-1000's are B/W and the two SW-7's are O/W. Correct the file if incorrect.

    Andre -
You may recall - I bought four of your Frisco Front Range b/y GP7's well over ten years ago. One was a dummy, three were powered. They looked great! They are all gone now. Assuming you are interested in what happened to them, here is their fate:
    - The dummy was sold via Tinkertown here in StL to someone several years ago, don't know who,
    - The three powered units were sold to individuals at our large estate sale we held in Sept, 2016, just prior to our moving to Naples, Florida. Two went to one fellow, the other to a second guy, as best I remember. They still looked great, and the two new owners quickly grabbed them up. I don't know who they were as I did not interact directly with buyers. Caroline and I set the prices on each item, but the estate sale folks actually sold them to buyers on everything that was in the sale. It was quite successful, but I really didn't want to watch it!

So, bottom line, as best I know, your four SLSF GP7's I had are still in the greater StL area. Thanks for selling them to me, they were quite nicely done and I enjoyed them!

    Doug:

I don't have the means or know how to edit xlsx files. All of the units are B&Y.

    Ken:

"Well over ten years ago." Indeed it was! Hate to break it to you, but I sold those off in '98. (Twenty two years ago this spring!)

I'm super glad you enjoyed them. In retrospect, I should not have parted with any of my Frisco Geeps. Live and learn. Not making that mistake again.

Yes, the chap that offered them to me said that he had picked them up off you. I think they were all powered, but I'm not for sure. One might have been a dummy.

I would love to have them back, don't know why the deal dried up on the vine.

Ha!, wow!, 22 years ago! Time flies when you are having fun. Sounds right - now I recall it was just after I retired (Jan, 1998) after 35 years in the chem biz and was setting up my consulting practice. I recall buying those four GP7's at that very time now. You likely shipped them to my temporary office in Clayton, Mo. Wow!, I'm getting old.

The dummy was sold about a year or two after I had them, via Tinkertown. I think it is a long shot that the guy who bought the remaining three powered GP7's so much later at our estate sail (2016) is the same person, but who knows. What did he say about them? I remember two of them ran much better than the third, but in a three unit brace, all was well. Those were my only Frisco GP7's, until recently.

I had a P2k PRR GP7, GP9, and GP18, plus a P2k PRR SD7 and SD9. Those P2K units were beautiful, and ran very smoothly, but were much slower than your GP's at the same power level. I couldn't run the P2K's with much of anything else. Yes, they went in the estate sale as well. Lots of neat stuff went, books as well, and I regret selling some of them now.

Here's my additions to the roster as best as I can determine now. I think my master Model Railroad Inventory is up-to-date but I have a sneaking suspicion that I have not kept it completely pure.
Please note that it includes the Missouri Pacific fleet (8) that I have for my railroad, the GE 45 ton switcher for Marquette Cement. I have four EMD Demo engines and I also have an Atlas Milwaukee HH660 (with Tsunami sound); it was just too cool and I got it cheap (before sound).

I too ended up with a B/Y and a O/W GP7 of yours Andre. The O/W one got away to someone on e-bay, I still have the 577.
Here is is in service, on it's second set of wheels, a rebuilt motor, the flared exhaust stack exchanged for the tall box stacks, LED light, with beacon flasher kit from Richmond controls. Also modified the side skirts to reflect a loco late in life. Certainly, a cherished possession. But if sumthing ever happens to me I will see to it you get it back Andre, (if you want it) that is.

I may have misunderstood; I created a list with only my locomotives i.e. Frisco Model Roster_V3.xlsx. I have corrected my error. The V3 list is complete.

I’m surprised the new Athearn Genesis geeps haven’t appeared yet. I have 2 but will probably never run them since my railroad is steam-only.

I think there are several Baldwin VO and DS versions made by Stewart. I have three on the shelf at home and will add missing. There are VO-660, DS-4-4-1000, and VO-1000 if I recall. Some were available without road numbers so could be modeled as any of the handful of road numbers.

Which reminds me, I somehow ended up with two #594's of the new Athearn. If someone would like to make a trade, let me know. In particular if would trade for steam.
