OK -- I missed out on the 911 slide, but picked up a beautiful FA one!
I could have obtained the 911 slide, but let the time slip up on me.

NOW -- I do not know where to send them for addition to the Archive?

Great slide of that FA. Shame about the diagonal bar. :ROFLMAO:

The diagonal bar is not on the slides that I purchased!

I like the freshly repainted F9B, though it looked better in new b/y livery. That shade of red/orange was closer to red than orange.

  8. As a B unit why does it have an F ? Does a Front have to be identified no matter what the unit is?

    Steve -
Because it is convention. Note the pic of the o/w F9B - there is more space between the right hand porthole and the right end of the unit than there is between the porthole on the left snd the left end of the unit. That is because the equipment layout in the F9B is the same as the layout in a F9A - the extra space on the right end on the B is where the cab and bull nose front would be on the A. Thus where the cab would be on the B is the front, hence it gets an "F". Beats me if there is any other reason. Clearly, the F9B can run in either direction when in a consist.

I have no idea who uploads to the archives Sherrel. Maybe Charlie can help you.

Charlie must be on vacation? I have sent him a couple of e-mails without a reply ... anyhoo, I thought the clarity of these slides was worth grabbing?

Judging the actual color from that picture would be very difficult especially considering the picture was taken most likely in the late afternoon. Colors would be skewed.

    Hi Sherrel:

I think we have the in-the-process-of-painting VO-660 #60 in the archive. I have it in my Baldwin photo folder w/an archive-style caption. The caption reads:

    "VO-660-60-at-Kansas-City-Missouri-on-December-10-1962-Al-Chione"

However, at the price of the dupe slide, it would be nice to own and be able to see it on a slide screen.

Agree! That slide of VO-660 SLSF 60 would be a good addition. Not many pics of those two 660's.

The slide of the F3 consist outside the Lindenwood diesel shop is nice as well.

Greetings everyone, I have noticed the archive slides have slowed down significantly and I was wondering if we ran out of slides or if it is another issue. A couple years ago I mailed in a half a dozen caboose slides and was looking forward to seeing them posted, but I have not seen them yet. Just curious. Thanks
