Thanks for that Craig! I did not know it was out yet. Sorry Keith, trust me there was not much of a plan going in. It was just " start talking". I'll try to do better next time. I have a couple upcoming Craftsman articles that will come out and that should make up for it. Thank you Tom. Back at you! I look at yours and think " I need a layout" Glad you enjoy what I throw out. I have another big project going but sadly the MKT word again. But several smaller SLSF projects as well in the works.
Thanks Steve, I have not ventured into any other scales than HO.. I try to keep my modeling efforts confined to something that I can run or be handled. But I gotta say, I need to learn how to do the "oil paints", I just need to get into it. But with a boxcar costing $50.00 bucks. Well, I just need to get over it, and certainly need to improve my observation and weathering skills. Between you, Jim James and a bunch of other folks, man I got a lot to learn, and thats a good thing.
Thanks Ken! Tom, you will find the oils worth it in the end. I was very hesitant to try them and now for any weathering that is a must have. I use mainly just four colors. But they can be mixed and tinted with each to be endless colors. I also use cheap acrylics and pastels. If you have never checked out The Weathering Shop site or their public forum The Rust Bucket you should. It is 99% trains and all weathering. Some absolutely incredible artists there. Lots of how to's threads. Great stuff!!!!
Wow, I am at a loss for words to compliment the level of detail and awesomeness in Steve's models. All of them are just as good as anybody could possibly do. I loved the images that went along and my favorite was the Katy caboose on the trailer. Now I know why Steve.s moniker is modeltruck shop !

HA, I remember that visit as well Doug! I remember your son had the Luke Skywalker land speeder toy I liked. I am guessing that was 1978 or 79?? I know I have gotten old, fat and bald for sure. Steve
