I need some help. I bought a FRISCO 4-4-0 Hallmark 2 years ago basically rescuing it from being cut up and made into something else. Silly Me not knowing much about Brass, bought it, took it home and it has sat in the box, in kit form for the entire time I have had it. Well, since my knowledge of brass is nill at best, I decided to clean house and put together a really big lot of stuff and sold it on ebay. The buyer recieved it today and took a good look at the engine only to write me and ask If I had the rest of the parts, Screws, Nuts, washers and springs, and the original trucks. Much to my dismay, What I sent him is what I had. Is there anyone on here that may happen to have a set of trucks the right springs, screws, washers and nuts for this particular model. the guy wrote me and he is also a FRISCO Modeler and I wanna do the right thing and see if I can find the missing parts to this engine. Even though I listed it honestly that the way I sold it was how I bought it, I just wanna see what I can do to get him a complete model.

    Thanks

p.s. I have no idea what parts are missing other that he said it didnt have the original tender trucks and the nuts and screws to make it operate.

That's not your responsibility. If you had it pictured and described accurately, then he needs to find the hardware, none of which are hard to find. I always list items like this as "What you see is what you get" or As-Is.

Thanks Don, I posted in the description that It was in the condition I bought it in. It was taken apart painted and put back in the box. I guess that would be saying the same thing as WYSIWYG. I just hope he dont have a problem with the sale. I am waiting for paypal to release my funds because there is a trainshow this weekend and I am short on cash and want to go but they are holding my funds till he leaves feedback, dont think I will be selling much on ebay any longer if I have to wait for my money, I didnt wait to ship things out to the buyer. So why should I have to wait.

I've never heard of Paypal holding your funds until feedback. He already has the item which means he paid for it. I'm not aware of a try it before you buy it deal on ebay and PP. Better look into it.

New users with less than 100 feedback have their funds withheld by PayPal until feedback is received, or confirmation of shipment is made by the shipping company, provided that shipping was done through eBay. If shipped outside of eBay, it is a 21 day delay. Ebay and PayPal are currently involved in a class action lawsuit over this matter. When I established a separate account for YesteRRails LLC on eBay they pulled this crap with me and I told them I was an eBay member with over 1000 feedback, all 100% positive, and I did this to keep business separate from personal. They didn't care. They pulled this garbage on me, and I told them to take their policy, stick it where the sun doesn't shine, and closed the YesteRRails eBay store.

eBay, ever since going public and having stock holders, have been ridiculous to deal with, and have some policies that are suspect at least, hence the multiple class actions against them right now.

If I had the capital, I'd create a competitive system, charge only 2.5% commission on sales, and allow folks to deal with whatever payment method they want. No listing fees. No charge for any listing aids. Just 2.5% of the total paid.

Yeah, PayPal just sent out an update to their policies effective in a few months. Fees are going up again! Now they'll be taking even more of your money.

I actually had to call Paypal and request for them to release my money, then I immediately transfered it to my bank account. This step takes 3-4 days. Now my money is out in cyberland awaiting deposit. I called my bank today and they said it will be in my account in the morning. I guess I will have to wait and see.
