Testing... I can't figure out why this video will embed on TrainBoard but not Frisco.org. Working on it...
Yea that's nice Charlie, I see what you are referring to now, but whatever I do it just wont embed for me. I do not know what to do. I am sure you will find out. Thanks Tom Holley
Charlie, I just went thru all the videos, as well as the advanced settings, they each already had embedding enabled, so this gets more bewildering all the time. All are Public as well, Safety off, no restrictions that I can see at all. Tom Holley
Tom, I'm not sure what the problem is but I think it is here on Frisco.org. I tried to embed your video in a test on TrainBoard in a private forum and it worked fine. Frisco.org needs a software upgrade but I am not sure why the video that I posted above embedded and yours did not. It's better to embed the videos on a forum because more people will watch them if the video is right in front of them versus clicking a link to go to another site. Charlie
Let me try this
It worked fine for me, HWB, right down to full screen option! The only thing I notice is your "Christmas Eve..." and Charlies original on this thread are less than 2:00 while "...Layout Progress" is 3:50 or so. Size should not create a problem, but does it, anyway? George
No, the length would not be an issue. All it is doing is embedding the YouTube video here. There is no actual bandwidth usage from Frisco.org so even a 2 hour video would work the same as a 10 second one. All of the data still comes from YouTube. Charlie
The actual code used for this would look like this: PHP: That's all it takes. One of the keys is to get the right code from the video on YouTube and not all of the URL from the browsers address bar. This icon in the list of icons is the one you click to get a pop-up box. In that box you only need to enter the share URL from YouTube (again, not the URL from the browser's address bar). Doing this creates the code for you and the great thing about using the little icons is that you don't have to know any code. But, why this particular video is not working, I have yet to figure out.
Well, I think I have done everything I know to do, went by the YouTube instructions but when I copy the embed info no vid shows up just the URL. Do I have to join facebook, twittter or one of those other places to do this? It is frustrating for me to see other vids able to do this but not mine from youtube. At this point I do not know what to do. Thanks for your help. Tom Holley
I can see the imbedded videos just fine. Note to self: I really need to get sound for my small locomotive fleet. Best Regards,
