Frisco Industrial District Maps on ebay

One seller has a number of Frisco Industrial District Maps from the '70s. I have bid on every one of them with the intentions of scanning and posting every one I win, so everyone can have access.

The same seller has a 1959 Transloading Booklet posted as well that someone has bid on. I hope whoever it is will scan and post to share.

 

I was going to do the same but if you are willing to do it then I won't bid.

I am the bid on the Transloading booklet (for the same purpose).

I won both of the items I was bidding on. Looks like they are only coming from New Hampshire (not far from here) so as soon as I get time to scan them they will be up.

Someone apparently wanted the Oklahoma City map for themself. I hope they are as willing to share as we are...

 

I hope so. I never did bid on any of those. I've got a couple of goodies in the hopper here but my wife has been in the hospital so I am way behind on posting anything.

The scans posted on eBay were pretty good though. I saved all of those so we can still upload that one.

Thanks Jim. We are having a tough time right now. She has rheumatoid arthritis and she fell down at our home about 10 days ago and broke her pelvis in three places and a compression fracture in her back. She's totally immobile right now so I am off work until she gets better. Rough times at the moment but we'll persevere.

Ouch! I'm a physical therapist when I'm not model railroading so I know how lucky she is to have your help. Good luck on her follow up visit..........Ouch!

 

We could use your help about now! I'm not the greatest caregiver but I am getting her by as best I can. They wanted to keep her in the hospital (after 9 days) but she insisted on coming home.

Charlie, the cover just shows the area of coverage of the Industrial District maps inside. You will see what I mean when I receive the others and begin posting them.

Tom, All the maps that were up on ebay were supposedly from the 70's. It really is irrelevant for the OKC map, since someone bid above me, so I will not have it to share. If the new owner is a member of this forum, I hope he won't begrudge sharing what he spent $6.04 for. After all, I spent $47.29 for the maps I won, and will post all here rather than keeping them to myself (I did not need the maps for my own use, but feel it is important to share and most importantly, preserve such valuable resources).

I hope I don't upset the other person, but to me preserving these resources digitally and sharing so they are viral is more important than one person's collection.

 

Absolutely! I should mention that I looked for Friscorama for close to 5 years after losing an expensive auction for it several years ago. When I finally did find it (not on eBay), it was not cheap!

The Frisco maps that were on ebay are a disappointment - they were not industrial district track schematics but sales department literature trying to direct possible business customers to available land along the Frisco ROW in specific locales. I will post them in the Maps sub-forum under their specific locale.
