Weres there any sidings between Clinton and Lowry City? It seems a long way not to have at least one. I'm asking about the 50's - 60's.

Did the Frisco use any of the old KCCS trackage between these two towns in the 50's or 60's?

Was there a siding in Brownington?

Thanks Karl. Do you know of any maps available of the area that include the siding? I was looking at your Dad's notes but I only saw the short spur at Deepwater.

Following the orange line in the pic is where I have my mainline track laid. Assuming this is correct for the 50's & 60's where would the Deepwater siding run?

    Deepwater, 1953.

The Brownington Cut-Off was built circa 1922-1924. I'll have to dig through my stack of stuff to confirm that date.

Sorry Karl I should have been more specific. I was trying to figure out where that 26 car passing track was located in relationship to Deepwater.

The passing track is "in" Deepwater, the first track east of the former KCCS mainline.

    See new annotation on map.

OK. So there were no passing tracks between Clinton and Lowry City on the SLSF line. Correct?

    That is incorrect.

There was a passing track at Deepwater, and in the Eastern Division ETT 38B, Sep 28, 1952, we can see that the southbound passenger train, No 21, met the northbound local freight, No 54 at Deepwater at 11:16 AM on Mon, Wed, & Fri.

When everybody was on time, train No 54 would be found in the clear at Deepwater.

So the ETT shows there was a passing siding at Deepwater. Do we know what milepost it was at or where it was in relationship to the pic in post #3?
