    Folks -
Does anyone have an engineer's side photo of this locomotive? If I had my druthers, I'd also love a better view of the pilot (looks like it's footboards only?).

The fireman's side shows in this W. Gibson photo:

I need to dig around and see if there were any drawings of this series in the FMIG newsletters.

    Best Regards,

Chris, a very nice engineer-side photo of sister 1274 was included in FMIG NL 28 (file 28B posted here). It's an Art Johnson shot. The Baldwins were in the 1266-1280 series. 1274 also had a switcher footboard pilot.

The Frisco never had any 0-8-0 switchers since they had so many 2-8-0s that could function.

Is the 1275 in the Newburg yard in this shot? Kinda looks like the hillside north of the Roundhouse just over the boiler.

With a high degree of certainty, this shot looks like it was taken at the Frisco yard in the West Bottoms industrial area of Kansas City. At the top of the hill is I-35 coming into the downtown area of Kansas City and the "Loop". The whole area on the hill is urbanized.

Doug, thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Note to self: get moving on the project to complete an index on the newsletters. Ken Wulfert got me started in the right direction by providing what he compiled through NL 15, so I really have no further excuse for "not knowing where to start." :)

    Best Regards,

I've almost, but not quite, got them all memorized after 33 years.
